I started surfing at age 13. By the time I was 14, I started competing in amateur contests. Four years later I entered the most prestigious amateur contest in North America, at Lower Trestles. Without any major sponsorship prior to the event, I went on to win the esteemed NSSA National Championship Title.
After the win, I decided to leave the amateur ranks and focus on pro contests. In my first professional event, I took 3rd place; which kicked off my pro surfing career. After competing in the World Qualifying Series for several years, I turned my focus to traveling the world free-surfing while still competing in select events. From all of the amazing experiences on the WSL, my love of travel was born.
I’ve been privileged to have been featured in numerous surf films such as “Yield”, “arutneV”, “UFA” and many others. My surfing has also been featured in company ads and editorial photos in many magazines including Surfer, Surfing, and Transworld Surf, as well as websites such as Surfline and Stab.

Why Surf Coaching?
Surfing has been so good to me over the 20+ years of surfing. I have learned so much about every aspect of surfing, from the beginner stage up to the top-level high performance competitor on the WSL.
I have worked with the Red Bull High Performance team at numerous events such as the U.S. Open of Surfing and the Pipeline Masters in Hawaii.
I would like to pass this knowledge onto others and help their growth as a surfer for whatever your goal may be.
